Following the sudden disappearance of a woman married to an American, the family begins to suspect the husband of killing her.
Playing like a murder mystery thriller, Nabubulok manages to make the audience care for the characters and their situation. And yes, that includes the murder suspect.
The biggest thought piece of the film is its imperialist and anti-imperialist implications, particularly with how the husband treats the locals and how he treats them. The wife is not entirely innocent either.
Among the ensemble, Gina Alajar and JC Santos are standouts.
